Restricted Businesses

Last updated: January 9, 2026

Virtual EPS relies on payment processors to enable payment functionality for Merchants using the Virtual EPS Platform. These processors maintain their own eligibility rules, restricted business policies, and risk criteria that determine whether a Merchant may use their payment services.

Certain types of businesses may be restricted or prohibited under the policies of these providers. The purpose of this page is to provide general guidance for Merchants regarding such restrictions.

Key points:

(a) Merchants are subject to the eligibility rules, policies, and risk assessments of payment processors connected to the Virtual EPS platform.

(b) Virtual EPS does not independently approve or reject merchants for restricted business categories. Merchant approval for payment processing is determined solely by the applicable payment processor.

(c) Merchants are responsible for reviewing and complying with the terms, policies, and restrictions of the relevant payment processors to determine whether their business activities are permitted.

(d) Virtual EPS does not control and does not assume responsibility for any restrictions imposed, any eligibility determinations or decisions of any payment processors.

(e) Payment processors may impose restrictions, suspensions, or account terminations based on their own policies, regulatory obligations, or risk assessments.
